The human figure has been depicted by artists for centuries and is still a constant source of inspiration. Artists have represented the male and female body as a symbol, used its forms and shapes to explore power and movement, presented it to show allegories from mythology or simply celebrated the human body for its beauty, elegance or eroticism. Drawn from The Ingram Collection of Modern British and Contemporary Art, featured artists include Henry Moore, Jacob Epstein, Eduardo Paolozzi, Elisabeth Frink, Ralph Brown, Allen Jones, Reg Butler, Anthony Green and Aleah Chapin.
