Brilliant young violinist SongHa Choi, winner of the Senior 2nd Prize and Senior Audience Prize at the Menuhin Competition London 2016, joins Thames Philharmonia to perform Prokofiev’s violin concerto no. 1 - a youthful, lyrical masterpiece, blessed with one of the loveliest openings in the concerto repertory. The concert also includes Faure’s charming suite of music for the play Pelleas et Melisande, and a rare opportunity to hear the highly original second symphony of the late-romantic Russian composer Scriabin.
