SURVIVAL WEEK at WWT London Wetland Centre

There’s a lot to do this half-term, so buckle up and start your adventure at the London Wetland Centre.
Create some magical memories and take part in an exciting adventure at their SURVIVAL WEEK.
Enjoy a fun and creative outdoor experience, meet a stunning array of thriving wildlife and tackle a range of special hands-on activities.
Mud Kitchen
- Time: From 10 am to 4 pm
- Free, turn-up activity. Suitable for all ages
Give your young adventurers the chance to finally create their imaginary, culinary concoctions. The Mud Kitchen is a free-play activity that provides a healthy dollop of mud, pots & pans, and all the utensils they need to cook up a muddy cuisine classic.
Pond Dipping
- Time: 11 am and 2 pm
- Free, turn-up activity. Capacity is limited to 30 dippers at once. First come, First-served. Suitable for 3+ years old
When you enter the Pond Zone, the underwater life provides a whole new level of discovery. Grab a net and discover what creatures live in our ponds.
Adventure Workshop
- Dates: From Monday 30 May to Sunday 5 June.
- Time: 11:30 am and 2:30 pm
- Suitable for 7+ years old - All children need to be accompanied by an adult at the activity, but adults don't need to book a ticket for themselves.
Be ready for any wilderness adventure in this 1.5-hour pre-booked, fun and educational workshop.
Learn how to build a makeshift shelter, safely light a fire, and tie the right knot in any survival situation.
Round off the event by toasting some delicious marshmallows around the campfire.
Map Challenge
- Free, Self-led activity, collect your map at the admissions desk
- Suitable for 5+ years old
You’ve learnt how to track footprints and build dens, now it’s time to become an expert navigator.
In this self-guided activity, you’ll get to hone your map reading skills and guide yourself around the centre, being sure to pick up the clues along the way.
