Life is a Song
Two of Surrey’s largest community choirs will be performing in Guildford for the first time on Saturday 16th June as part of the ‘Visit Guildford Summer Festival’.
The 200+ voices of Surrey Music’s impressive choirs, Elmbridge Choir and Elmbridge Ladies Choir, will present ‘Life is a Song!’ at Holy Trinity Church, in support of Home-Start Guildford, a family support charity offering emotional and practical support to families with young children struggling in difficult circumstances.
‘We are really excited about performing to a new audience in Guildford, and delighted to be supporting Home-Start at the same time.’ says Cliff van Tonder, CEO and Founder of Surrey Music. ‘All funds raised from this concert will help Home-Start and their wonderful team of volunteers continue to make a real difference for vulnerable families in Guildford.’
Based in Cobham, Surrey Music has so far raised in excess of £170,000 for charitable purposes and has been entertaining and engaging audiences with its wide-ranging repertoire since 2005.
‘Having fun and bringing joy to our audience is high on our agenda’, explains Cliff. ‘We will be performing several new songs alongside some of our favourites in a rousing and diverse choral compilation of familiar tunes from stage and screen, golden oldies to contemporary pop and everything in between!’
Tickets for ‘Life is a Song!’ which starts at 7.30pm cost £12 (adults) and £5 (under 18) and are available from www.lifeisasong.co.uk
