Surbiton Summer Salons
Join us for five days of concerts, talks, and workshops in the heart of Surbiton.
The festival offers a range of daytime and evening events. Workshops include a body percussion workshop with ex-Stomp cast member, Alua Nascimento, which will be a noisy and energetic exploration of the body as a percussion instrument, and a participatory jazz singing workshop where participants will have the opportunity to devise their own jazz piece to perform together at the evening concert. This year's concert series includes a recital by Royal Opera House tenor, Nicky Spence, pianist Emmanuel Vass, early music ensemble, Ceruleo, and Surbiton-based tenor, Charles MacDougall, who will be performing with baritone Gavin Cranmer-Moralee and pianist Robert Mingay-Smith. To close the festival The Michael Horner Quartet will be providing a light hearted and lively jazz concert to see us out.
Our events are suitable for all ages.
