A care home in Weybridge is opening its doors to the local community for a day of family entertainment when they host a garden party.
From 2pm-4.30pm on Saturday 22nd July, people in Weybridge are invited to Norfolk House on Portmore Park Road to share in the fun, games and summer celebrations at the home’s annual event.
Visitors will be able to try their luck on the raffle and enjoy tempting treats from the many stalls at the fete, including ice cream, a barbecue and a bottle tombola. There will also be the opportunity to enjoy live music from local duo, Hayley and John, while children can have fun on a bouncy castle.
Sabu Prothasis, home manager at Norfolk House, said: “Hosting a summer garden party provides us with a great opportunity to invite the local community to join us for a day of family-friendly fun and games. There is a real buzz around the care home with preparations now well underway for the party.
“Here at Norfolk House, it is important for us to build strong relationships with the people of Weybridge and we look forward to welcoming those in the local area to join us for what promises to be a fantastic day of fun and games.”
Norfolk House will also be hosting a guest speaker at their monthly coffee afternoon on Wednesday 26th July from 2.30pm-4.30pm. Anne Ferrett will be sharing poems written by her mother, who wrote poetry as a way of coping with living with Parkinson’s. Anne will be reading poems to share her mother’s message, as well as talking about her involvement with Parkinson’s UK.
