Wild Food UK
Horse Mushroom
There are a huge variety of edible plants in the south east, most of which can be found in the areas around our vast capital and Banstead has to be one of our favourite places under that umbrella. There is much more green space than tarmac but it’s still well within the M25.
We will meet in Woodmansterne at the Woodman Pub at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.
Then we’ll set off for a 2-3 hour walk around the area identifying the different plants, flowers, fruits and hopefully mushrooms that we find. There will be a break somewhere along the way for our lovely wild food soup.
After the walk we will go back to the Woodman for a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found.
There are limited spaces available so please book your place online.
