Wild Food UK
Fairy Ring Champignon
There is a huge variety of wild edibles in the South East, most of which can be found in the areas around our vast capital and Banstead has to be one of our favourite places under that umbrella.
We'll meet in Woodmansterne at the Woodman Pub and the course begins with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the area, teaching you how to identify the different edible and poisonous plants and mushrooms we find.
We'll stop along the way for a homemade refreshment such as our lovely wild food soup.
After the walk, we'll head back to the pub for a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found. This will include a dish made from our recent finds and some pre-prepared homemade treats.
After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talk about on the day to help you to remember what you have learnt.
Please see website for full details of times and further dates at this venue.
