Spoon carving workshop
Spend a relaxing day on our farm in the Surrey Hills away from the hustle. Learn how to carve a spoon from a billet (part of a log) to a spoon. Whittle and lunch by the open fire included (Weather permitting).
The spoon carving workshop is led by Adrian Joy or one of our other experienced teachers, he has been whittling wood since a young age and his passion has led him to become a qualified instructor.
All tools and materials will be provided, along with all the tea, coffee and all the biscuits to keep you going, plus a delicious lunch cooked over the campfire
This is aimed at being a creative day making spoons at a relaxed pace, being out in nature. The workspace is undercover in a former open sided farm building, or weather dependant can be around the open fire in a small adjacent copse. Lunch is often cooked on the same fire and served there.
Most students will be first time carvers, some may be returning to further practice their skills and gain more experience.
