The Good Boss
Blanco (Javier Bardem) is the cynical, exploitative owner of a provincial scales manufacturer. A man of no principle, he likes to practice the exact opposite of what he preaches in the full knowledge that his status as a local mover and shaker with connections to the local authorities means he is unlikely to be challenged by anyone.
Pressure mounts as he sets out to conceal his many professional and personal misdeeds in the hope of winning yet another award for his mediocre business – whilst dealing with trouble at work and at home, all the while maintaining his veneer of success and respectability at all costs.
This big Goya Awards winner was shortlisted for the Best International Feature Film Academy Award and has enjoyed a busy international festival journey.
