Parallel Mothers
Richmond Film Society’s 59th Season commences on 20 September with ‘Parallel Mothers’, the latest multi-award winning film from Pedro Almodóvar.
Starring Penelope Cruz, it is the story of two mothers who bond in an unexpected way after giving birth on the same day, set against the backdrop of an archaeological search for victims of Franco’s forces during the Spanish Civil War. Both are single and became pregnant by accident. The few words they exchange in these hours will create a close link between the two, which develops, complicates and changes their lives in a decisive way.
Subject to developments, 50 non-member tickets will be available to purchase for individual screenings in Season 59. Non-member tickets are £5 (full-time students £3) and can be purchased in advance from The Exchange’s Box Office online at http://exchangetwickenham.co.uk/events, by telephone 020 8240 2399 or in person. To ensure that you secure a ticket and avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend early pre-booking via The Exchange once tickets become available for sale.
