Rhyme or Treason?
This course will look at poems dedicated to rulers, real and imaginary. We’ll examine poems have that been dedicated to Elizabeth I and to Elizabeth II, but also poems about rulers who were less successful. A range of poems will be examined to find out what it means to be a ruler.
Copies of the poems will be provided.
