Picasso's Studio Villa La Galloise at Vallauris
This talk, with Picasso expert Marilyn McCully, will focus on Picasso’s ceramics background and his activity with the team of potters at the Madoura factory at Vallauris in France (1947-1973). With Picasso’s return to the shores of the Mediterranean after the Second World War, his work became imbued with a sense of the place and its long-standing artistic and mythological traditions.
Advance booking required. Talks last for approximately 45 minutes with a short time for questions. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the talk. Drinks are available to purchase.
