Petersham Lodge Gardens
On Sunday 20th May, Princess Loewenstein is opening her stunning garden at Petersham Lodge in support of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust. Her late husband, Prince Rupert Loewenstein, passed away on 20th May 2014, having lived with Parkinson’s for a number of years. Guests can explore the beautiful grounds and breath-taking gardens whilst enjoying tea, coffee and a selection of cakes.
Petersham Lodge is a mid-eighteenth century Georgian house in Richmond, set within 3½ acres of beautiful gardens. Formal borders lead to a large lawn, with stunning views across a small lake to a folly. Enchanting paths allow you to explore its bluebell glade, magnificent specimen trees and quaint vegetable garden.
Princess Loewenstein and her late husband Prince Rupert Loewenstein, financial manager of The Rolling Stones, moved into this stunning residence in the late 1980s. The Cure Parkinson’s Trust is hugely grateful to Princess Loewenstein for opening Petersham Lodge gardens to the public for this special afternoon, to raise vital funds which will be directed towards research into a cure for Parkinson’s.
Around 145,000 people in the UK are living with Parkinson’s, and it is predicted that one in 37 people will receive a diagnosis of Parkinson’s in their lifetime. CPT funds innovative research which is dedicated to finding new treatments that can slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s.
