Hearing Awareness Month comes to Surrey
This September, high street hearing specialist Hidden Hearing is launching a new campaign, Music To Your Ears, to mark the fourth national Hearing Awareness Month which aims to raise awareness of hearing loss and encourage anyone unsure of their hearing ability to seek help from their local high street hearing specialist.
Hidden Hearing is touring the UK throughout Hearing Awareness Month, to present an award to the most musical counties in the UK, with the help of breakfast TV doctor, Dr Hilary Jones. A lunchtime concert led by the UKs largest contemporary choir, Rock Choir will be held to celebrate the county’s love of music!
The free lunchtime concert will visit Guildford’s town centre [Guildford Rotunda] on 18th September and as part of the event, Hidden Hearing will award the Mayor of Guildford with a trophy to celebrate the county’s musical success.
Hidden Hearing’s mobile unit will be available during the event to offer free hearing screenings for anyone concerned about their hearing.
During September, free comprehensive hearing tests will also be carried out at the local Hidden Hearing Branch (Unit 4 Trinity Gate, Epsom Road, Guildford, Surrey GU1 3JQ). For every test carried out, a donation of £1 will be given to charity Music and the Deaf, who offer musical opportunities to children and adults who live with any degree of hearing loss.
