A magical evening of summer choral music presented by one of Surrey’s premier choirs. The sumptuous sounds of Delius, Vaughan Williams and Finzi sung in the grand space of Epsom’s largest historic building. The programme includes Delius’ ‘Summer Night on the Water’, the exquisitely beautiful ‘The Bluebird’ by Stanford, and ‘A Garland for the Queen’, a collection of songs by Vaughan Williams, Finzi and Herbert Howells published for her Majesty's coronation. Together with the ‘Five Spirituals’ by Tippett and Britten’s ‘Five Flower Songs’ this is a true feast of the best of 20th music from these fair Isles. Conductor Piers Maxim.
