Michael specialises in wildlife photography and has travelled all over the UK in pursuit of his images. He has completed trips to Alaska, Montana and Yellowstone National Park in the USA, Arctic Circle, India & Kenyan migration.
Michael is renowned for high-quality wildlife and nature photography and Michael’s work has been published in British photography magazines and received commendations when in competition. The ‘Chase Is On’ appeared on the PhotoRadar site in the category World in Motion and was chosen as editor's choice, thereby coming in the Top 30 of over 100,000 qualifying images worldwide.
“Approximately 7 years ago I was given a point and shoot camera which rekindled my passion for photography, something I hadn’t indulged in for over 35 years. Fortunately it came at a time when I had the funds and opportunity to pursue my love of wildlife and nature. So after a working life in retail sales I drew up a must-see list. These past 7 years I have been blessed in witnessing some of the most unforgettable sites in wildlife and nature. From the bears salmon runs in Alaska, polar bears enduring their hard struggle for survival in temperatures of below -35C , the ever decreasing number of tigers in India fighting for their survival, finally through to the immeasurable spectacle of vast numbers of wildebeest and zebras in their annual migration in Kenya. Wildlife and nature at its most reverent.
I am delighted to be exhibiting my work at the DSWF gallery, and I am particularly happy that sales of my work will benefit many of the endangered species that they work so hard to protect.”
