This February Shakespeare’s supernatural thriller opens the award-winning Guildford Shakespeare Company’s (GSC) 14th year of locally made, locally played professional theatre.
As a bloody war draws to its conclusion, the celebrated warrior Macbeth and his ambitious wife, are propelled headfirst into a chilling quest for ultimate power, fuelled by supernatural powers beyond their control. Shakespeare's super-charged thriller is one of the best-loved plays of all time. It is seven years ago since the theatre company last staged MACBETH, and this brand-new production, in in Surrey’s largest Georgian church, Holy Trinity on Guildford High Street, is directed by CHARLOTTE CONQUEST and designed by NIEL IRISH. Together, Neil and Charlotte created GSC’s last two acclaimed winter seasons, Romeo & Juliet and Measure for Measure.
