In 2012, when only 15, Laura van der Heijden shot to fame as the winner of the BBC Young Musician
Competition, amazing jury and public alike with her maturity and musicianship. With her regular pianist
partner Tom Poster she plays a programme rich in contrasts, which explores the classic repertoire of
Beethoven and Schubert, alongside two fascinating 20th Century works.
The concert is presented by Banstead Arts Festival Society and the programme comprises:
