Remember, remember... Kew Village Market on Sunday 5th November, with around 50 stalls in all selling the finest food and crafts. Autumn of course is well under way and with it the new game season so you’ll find pheasant and partridge, venison and wild boar at Winterbourne Game – if you’re not sure of the best ways to cook it, Chris Norcott is happy to help. At the KVM stall we’ll have the first of Caroline Blomfield’s magical Kew views Christmas cards, and at the time of writing we’re expecting the police Safer Transport team again to offer free bike marking. And to make sure the day goes with a swing we’ve two brilliant bands: KVM favourites Shifty Little Sister with their eclectic mix of jazz, blues and latin grooves; and new-to-Kew Simon and the Witch playing pop, rock, psychedelia and oddities from the 60s–90s. Be there or be square.
