The Old Council Chamber in Reigate Town Hall
Explore Reigate Town Hall’s fascinating history for free - 10 September - Heritage Open Day
To help celebrate England’s largest festival of history and culture, the Town Hall in Reigate will open its doors for free, pre-booked, public tours on Saturday 10 September. After each tour there will also be an opportunity to meet the Mayor in his parlour.
Every year, Heritage Open Days helps everyone to explore hidden places and try out new experiences. Come along to the Town Hall and discover its fascinating 121-year history, as home to many of the community’s public services. The Grade II Listed building, completed in 1901, originally housed the Town Hall, law courts, police and fire stations – the 70-foot former fire station tower is still a major exterior feature today.
