Haydn’s Nelson Mass of 1798 is one of the composer’s best known choral works and is loved for its overwhelmingly joyful and jubilant character. Mozart’s ‘Solemn Vespers’ are settings of psalms and the Magnificat which combine exquisite beauty and exuberance in a way that is unique to the genius of the composer.
