Louisa Sullivan
Louisa Sullivan Blue Leaf (with snail) - Glass artist
The popular Guildford Arts Annual Summer Art Exhibition returns to the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre’s historic riverside Mill Studio. This thoughtfully curated contemporary art Exhibition promises much to entice the public back to look at art in person. Over 20 local and national artists will display their talent and expertise in glass, ceramics, sculpture, paintings, drawings, metalwork, prints and photography. Rich Miller, ceramicist and judge from The Great Pottery Throwdown will launch the Exhibition.
Landscapes, nature and architecture have inspired several of the artists and many pieces on display comprise intricate layers and textures. This exuberant, colourful and wide-ranging Exhibition ensures that no two techniques or interpretations are the same.
Two Meet the Artist Saturdays (10 and 17 July) provide an informal opportunity to chat to the artists and find out more about their inspiration, working styles and techniques. Younger visitors have their own Art Quiz, with art materials and prizes supplied.
Admission is free, but Covid-care procedures require a ticket, which is available in advance or on-line at the door from yvonne-arnaud.co.uk
