The Great Exhibition 1851
The Great Exhibition was a showcase for the marvels of the age and attracted over six million visitors. While for some it was a jolly day out, there were many who saw it as an opportunity to learn more about the wonders of the new age of industry. This short course will look at the impact of the exhibition and consider why it attracted so much criticism.
