Underhill Rose
(www.underhillrose.com)
are three girl singers/musicians on tour from North Carolina, U.S.A. They came to the UK in May 2016 and went down incredibly well with their audiences. We saw them twice on that tour and that's why we've booked them!
Harmonies. Soul-touching lyrics. Eye-catching stage presence. Underhill Rose have become synonymous with beautiful music, charming personalities, and rippling success. In the past four years, they have independently released two albums which have topped the Americana Music Association Airplay Chart and the Roots Music Report Chart, all the while garnering critical acclaim from around the globe.
Get to know the joyful, soaring voice of Molly Rose and her guitar, the distinctive styling of Eleanor Underhill’s open back banjo and her salty-blues vocals in tandem with Salley Williamson on upright bass and harmonies. With their song-centered original compositions, these troubadours create three-part harmony music that is real and inspired. Underhill Rose have carved out a distinctive place on the Americana/Folk scene.

Molly Rose and Eleanor Underhill’s musical partnership is the result of a chance meeting at Warren Wilson College, N.C. Their affinity for the music they make has kept them together for more than 8 years. Underhill Rose formed in 2009, and the addition of Salley Williamson in 2010 created the foundation for this internationally-recognized female trio, who are known for blending aspects of Americana, R&B, Country, and Bluegrass into an authentic sound that is all their own—“Heartfelt Country Soul.” Underhill Rose are an acoustic trio that will touch your soul and they visit us before heading up to the prestigious Beverley Folk Festival in Yorkshire.
