Well……
It starts well but Veronica has a sharp edge despite her love of art and concern for the people of Africa. Michael has done something he ought to be ashamed of! Alan is a corporate lawyer and his mind is on his current case defending a pharmaceutical company that really should have tested a new drug properly. Then there is his wife Annette – and what is going on there?
Boys will be boys, but the adults are usually worse – much worse!
This Black Comedy of modern manners won the Olivier Award for Best Comedy and the Tony Award for Best Play. God of Carnage premiered in London in 2008. Yasmina Reza is also known for her other award-winning play ART.
SEE IT SAFELY
We are excited to bring community theatre back to East Horsley, but the health and safety of our audiences and our volunteers, and the long-term survival of our theatre remains paramount. We hope that you will understand that due to the uncertainty and the risks we are managing in a changing environment, our plans are fluid. We are putting in place lots of safety measures to keep you, and us, safe once we re-open.
We have been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre's 'See It Safely' mark. The mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences. You can find out more on our website about the measures we have been putting in place ready for your visit, and what you will need to know beforehand.
Measures that we currently have in place, include:
Reduced audience numbers with socially distanced seating.
Clear signage and one-way systems.
Face coverings required by all visitors and volunteers whilst inside the building (unless exempt).
Hand sanitiser stations and protective equipment for volunteers.
Regular and thorough cleaning
Temperature checks upon entry
NHS Track and Trace.
Going cash-free.
Please note that our Covid-secure measures apply to all visitors, regardless of vaccination status.
Pre-booking your tickets is essential. There will be no walk-ins. You can either print your ticket or, if you are able to open your tickets from your confirmation email on your mobile phone, you can just show them to us on this device. Your ticket will be scanned by our FOH team on arrival at the theatre.
