Garsons Food Fair returns on 11th and 12th June, bringing some of the country's best speciality food and drink producers together for a weekend of tasting, sipping and sampling. The ever-popular event at the Esher farm gives shoppers a chance to discover and try some of the artisan wares available all year round in the Farm Shop at Garsons and meet the producers.
Big draws each year are Leopard Dairy's selection of regional and continental cheeses, freshly-baked breads, cakes and pastries from the family-run Cavan Bakery and traditionally-crafted real ales from a local brewery. Farm Shop manager Nigel Chandler is keeping his other stallholders a closely-guarded secret for now, but regular visitors will already have the date in their diaries for what is bound to be a delicious day out.
"I looking forward to another fantastic feast for the senses at Garsons this year," says Nigel, who has been seeking out the best food and drink for the Farm Shop for over 20 years. "We have a fantastic mix of long-standing suppliers and some who've come on board more recently, so even those who are know the Farm Shop well should find something new to try."
Shoppers can make a full day of their trip to Garsons by combining a visit to the Food Fair with a few hours in the pick-your-own fields, which will be bursting with summer strawberries and more. The Garsons Restaurant will also be serving its seasonal menu – including fruit and vegetables fresh from the farm.
The Garsons Food Fair will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 11th June, and from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 12th June. Parking and entrance to the Food Fair are free.
