King George III and Queen Charlotte were the parents of fifteen children. Three of their sons became kings and two of the daughters became the consorts of German rulers. In this course we will consider the lives of the family and the factors which affected their lives including the political situation of the time, the introduction of the Royal Marriages Act of 1772 and the succession crisis of 1817. We will also consider the popular contemporary perception of the family. The whole course costs £63. For more information email southernbranches@wea.org.uk.
