The Earth From Space: Weather and Atmosphere
An early application of satellite imagery was to look at the weather. This one-day course will examine the history and development of satellite observation of the Earth’s atmosphere, from the first crude TV pictures taken by TIROS-1, to the avalanche of data produced by today’s sophisticated Earth observation satellites.
What have they taught us about Earth’s weather and climate?
This course will take place online via Zoom only.
Length of course: 1 day. Time: 2pm - 5pm. Tutor: Craig Underwood BSc (Hons) PGCE PhD FBIS MIEEE
