Siobhan has a BA in Modern History and an Adult Education Teaching Certificate. She has worked for Historic Royal Palaces for fifteen years and is based at Hampton Court Palace, where she trained as a Costumed Interpreter before becoming an HRP Guide Lecturer. Tudor Court Dress was used as a political, economic and social tool and laws were passed to regulate dress at all levels of society. Elizabeth I, decked out in a dazzling array of jewels and fine clothes, projected the ultimate image of royal power. Fashion was anything but frivolous!
