Artist Catherine Clancy's new body of work can be seen in Guildford Cathedral in Lent 2015. This is an exhibition not to be missed, her work is both profound and beautiful, heavily influenced by the Poets. The exhibition is concerned with the emergence of the image at surface, strongly inspired by the ideas held in alchemy she has taken these ideas and engaged with ' The Dark Night of The Soul' ( St. John of the Cross) and ' The Return of the Spirit".
Catherine studied sculpture at Central St. Martin's, then went on to study in Paris with Jean Touret, who did the altar piece in Notre Dame. She recently completed a PhD in Fine Art ( painting ) and Philosophy at UOAL/Surrey University.
