Dawn chorus
Sat 23 April
This is a unique opportunity to enjoy our wonderful wildlife reserve before daybreak.
Everyone, from people with a passing interest in wildlife to keen birders, can enjoy listening to the birds sing as the sun rises over the reed beds, lakes and ponds.
The walk will take you out on to the reserve as the sun comes up. Our expert guides will take you around the reserve to discover what is around, and help you identify the birds by their song. We can't guarantee exactly which birds will be singing on the day, but you're likely to hear calls and birdsong from a range of species from Cetti's Warblers to Lapwings!
At the end of the walk enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a breakfast bap before you head off out again for a day of self-guided birdwatching. Please bring your own binoculars and wrap up warm.
Date: Saturday 23 April
Time: 5 am (Duration: walk 1 hour 30 min + time to enjoy your breakfast)
Meeting Point: Entrance roundabout.
Price: £30 per person, plus admission to the centre. The cost includes the guided walk, tea/coffee, breakfast bap.
Please be aware that normal admission charges apply - if you are NOT a WWT member you will need to purchase an online entrance ticket in addition to your Dawn Chorus ticket. This will need to be done prior to the event as admission tickets will not be sold on the door.
