Barry Manilow's Copacabana brings the Grammy Award winning song to life on stage. The story follows aspiring songwriter, Stephen, as he composes what he hopes will become a hit musical. He imagines himself as Tony, a bar tender in 1940's New York, and starts writing the story surrounding an ambitious young singer Lola who arrives in New York City hoping to become a star. While performing at the famous Copacabana Nightclub, Lola attracts the attention of Rico, a Cuban gangster, who abducts Lola and takes her to his rival nightclub in Havana. Tony, with the help of his friends at the Copa, must find a way to rescue her.
One of the very first jukebox musicals featuring Barry Manilow's songs, this is a fun-filled, action packed musical full of feathers, sequins and romance.
