Presenting a range of knitted, woven, printed, felted and stitched textiles for you and your home, this exhibition aims to showcase the variety of techniques within the field of textiles.
The makers chosen for this exhibition are concerned primarily with process, exploring what can be achieved with traditional techniques within a contemporary market. These often repetitive techniques can be time consuming, which many makers see as a welcome diversion from the demands of modern life.
All six makers perfectly balance the visual elements of pattern and colour with the physical and tactile nature of textiles.
Laura Adburgham, Louise Renae Anderson, Helen Chatterton, Syrah Jay, Dionne Swift and Sally Weatherill. Curated by Alison Woodley.
