As part of our InSpires tour of churches in Surrey, we will be playing music by British legend Barbara Thompson MBE, Canadian composer & guitarist Tim Brady, American maestro William Averitt and others.
This is a special year for us as we celebrate Barbara Thompson's 70th Birthday! Both a prolific saxophonist and composer, Barbara, who heads Paraphernalia, is also famous for having composed the music for ITV's crime drama, 'A Touch Of Frost'.
We are delighted to have such a close relationship with her, and look forward to playing her suite 'Russian Roulette' at St. Saviour's Church.
Programme to include 4 movement suite, "Russian Roulette", and "The Flying Dutchman" by Barbara Thompson, "Triple Riffing" by Tim Brady, and "Tripartita" by William Averitt.
If you've never been to a live concert, you've been missing out! Live music is uplifting, exhilerating and inspiring. Come along and see what we're all about!
This concert will also be perfect for anyone who enjoys hearing something new, who already has an appreciation of classical contemporary music, or is studying music or composition, or who plays any of the instruments above and want to hear them in all their glory!
