As part of an array of events celebrating Black History Month, the Black-owned hotel and members club, Bingham Riverhouse is thrilled to be welcoming African chef extraordinaire William Chilila to their majestic Richmond retreat. These ticketed dinner events will showcase the splendour and diversity in African cuisine.
On 1st & 2nd of November, Chilila will take over Steven Edwards stunning restaurant with a 5-course tasting menu exploring his Zambian, South African, Ghanaian and British heritage. A meticulously crafted menu with bold and vibrant flavours and ingredients that sing on every inventive plate.
Chilila, a former MasterChef: The Professionals finalist spent ten years rising through the ranks at The Orrery before taking his first head chef role at Akoko in 2020. Chilila is famed for his contemporary take on West African cuisine; Chilila uses classical and modern techniques to wow, taking cues from a complexity of influences and culinary traditions.
