This is an evening not to be missed, with a cast of rising stars who have trained at the National Opera Studio and the Royal Opera House. Josephine Thorpe, Susana Gaspar, Bechara Mouffarej are performing on the most prestigious international stages including Opera de Paris, Qatar, Dubai, Sadlers Wales, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Welsh National Opera, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, BBC Proms!
The Orchestra will be led by Eugene Lee, permanent member of the Philharmonia Orchestra and Associate Leader at Southbank Sinfonia.
Glass Ceiling Orchestra
Glass Ceiling Orchestra is a newly born company focusing on musicianship excellence and widening access to classical music. While performing a wide range of repertoire, Glass Ceiling offers a unique event : an opera performance raising awareness on a social issue where part of all proceeds will be donated to a UK registered charity.
For their inaugural performance, Glass Ceiling Orchestra, have chosen Carmen, as a tragic embodiment of female empowerment and will be supporting Dress for Success, a worldwide women’s charity which provide professional attire, interview coaching to help disadvantaged women succeed and achieve economic independence.
