Boeing Boeing is the most classic and classiest of French farces: self-styled Parisian lothario Bernard has three fiancées – each beautiful airline hostesses with frequent ’layovers’. There’s American Gloria, German Gretchen and Italian Gabriella. He keeps “one up, one down and one pending” in exquisite, indulgent “perpetual” until speedier jets and unexpected schedule changes bring all three to Paris, and his apartment, at the same time.
Into the looming sexual catastrophe, enter Bernard’s old school-friend Robert, a naive visitor from the provinces. Soon he and long-suffering housekeeping Bertha are forgetting which lies to tell, and to whom, in their increasingly desperate attempts to diffuse the inevitable chaos.
