173 people were crushed to death on the staircase of an air raid shelter in Bethnal Green on 3rd March 1943. It was the largest civilian disaster of the Second World War.
The award-winning Lucky Dog Theatre Productions will play a variety of roles, often quoting verbatim survivor testimony.
In the space of an hour, the audience will experience the claustrophobia, smells, sounds and darkness of the shelter and the tragedy in this disturbing immersive experience.
