Belinda O'Hooley

Belinda O'Hooley is a gifted pianist, singer and songwriter best known as the composer of the theme song of BBC’s “Gentleman Jack”. Her inventive and sometimes flamboyant musical accompaniments are always keenly anticipated whether accompanying herself on the accordeon or the Institute's Bechstein grand. In her new solo project, Inversions, Belinda's abilities as a sensitive composer and pianist are showcased. Many of the piano pieces are inspired by the songs and tunes her father inherited from a long line of male musicians in the hills of the west coast of rural Ireland.
