Barnes Choir 70th Anniversary Concert
Come and Join The Barnes Choir, led by our Musical Director Julian Collings, for our 70th Anniversary concert
Our programme this evening features works by three English composers. The major piece is Will Todd’s flagship choral work, Mass In Blue, a jazz setting of the traditional Latin Mass. The Choir will also perform Songs and Sonnets from Shakespeare, by the famous Jazz Pianist George Shearing. And our Musical Director and our Accompanist, Elspeth Wilkes will perform excerpts from William Waltons’ Façade in the centenary year of its first public performance.
