BARNES CHILDREN'S LITERATURE FESTIVAL
London's largest children's books event Barnes returns to the London Wetland Centre from Tuesday 21 to Sunday 26 June with more than 100 fun family-friendly readings, workshops and performances around Barnes for book fans of all ages.

Also on their way to Barnes are the Green Wing actor and comedian Steven Mangan, the political cartoonist for The Observer, Chris Riddell, and the acclaimed poet and performer, Lemn Sissay, will introduce his first beautiful book for children.
There is plenty of entertainment for non-fiction fans too including Horrible Histories' Martin Brown and the million-selling author and former NHS doctor, Dr Adam Kay.
Highlights include Paddington Bear's First Concert, a musical storytelling adventure with BBC Radio 4 presenter Zeb Soanes, and family workshops with Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and Aardman Animations, the Oscar winning studio behind Wallace & Gromit.
The Festival opens on Tuesday 21 June with four days of free events for primary schools here at the Wetlands as well as two days free for schools in Tower Hamlets, and two new days free for primary schools in Wandsworth with capacity for over 11,000 children this year.
