bird watching walk
Sat 8 - Sun 9 October (Sat and Sun only)
Experience the very best autumn has to offer on our nature reserve.
Our warden will guide you around the wildlife reserve to see what’s about and give you tips on field-craft and bird ID. There are likely to be numerous migrant wading birds including black-tailed godwits, green sandpipers and greenshanks.
Wildlife surprises can include bearded tits and migrating merlins. As foliage disappears from the trees you can often get a better view of the reserve's smaller birds too, such as Cetti's warblers and long-tailed tits. We record over 180 species of bird each year, so you’re almost bound to see something exciting. Please bring your own binoculars/telescope to get the most out of the walk.
Time: 8:30 am (Duration 1 h 30 min)
Meeting point: Centre admissions, entrance via green-wood gate
Price: £25 per person, plus admission to the Centre. Booking essential.
Please be aware that normal admission charges apply - if you are NOT a WWT member you will need to purchase an entrance ticket in addition to your event ticket.
