A Mudlark’s Treasures
Having recently discovered the delights of wandering the Thames foreshore on mudlarking expeditions with my friend Penny, I can heartily recommend Ted Sandling’s new book: A Mudlark’s Treasures: London in Fragments which forms a gentle introduction to the hobby as well as taking the reader on a tour of some of the secrets thrown up by the river at low tide, from the fragments of Roman flagons, clay pipe bowls, buttons, wig curlers and ceramics.
And, for interested Sheengate readers, we have five copies of the book to give away.
