WIN! A private portrait worth £1,800
Have you ever fantasised about having your portrait painted? Imagined your visage smiling down from the hallway for future generations? Well, now’s your chance. East Molesey artist Jon Elworthy is offering one reader a free private commission to have their likeness captured in oil.
Jon, who trained as an interior and architectural designer, has become a well-known figure on the local art scene for his colourful contemporary landscapes of Surrey scenes, and stunning portraits. Recently, he has been working on historical illustrations for the new series of Channel 4’s Time Team, and this month will launch his first exhibition of work at The Riverhouse Barn in Walton from August 3-14, with friend and fellow artist, William Oxer.
The winner will receive an unframed, A3-sized image, painted from photographs which will be taken at an initial consultation. There will be plenty of opportunity for sitter input and the final artwork will be completed by Christmas, making it an ideal gift for a loved one!
Closing date August 31, T&Cs apply.
