WIN! A dinner at Starling

This year, we partnering with Surrey Artist of the Year 2026, the competition run by New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham that gives artists across the county a public platform, connecting them with new audiences, collectors and opportunities. 

We are asking readers to choose their favourite of the 17 shortlisted SAOY entries. We’ll announce our Readers’ Choice award winner in November with a feature on the artist in the magazine. Voters will be enrolled in a prize draw to win a fantastic meal for two at the Michelin-starred restaurant, Starling in Esher.

This neighbourhood bistro, helmed by chef-patron Nick Beardshaw – formerly Tom Kerridge’s right-hand man – opened two years ago and has quickly become a destination eatery with innovative food and truly spectacular flavours. Our lucky winner will be able to sample those delights for themselves with a three-course meal for two, plus a bottle of house wine to share.

• Advance booking is required, and all bookings are subject to availability.
• Blackout dates apply, including bank holidays and the entire month of December.
• The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
• Any additional food or beverages not explicitly included in the prize will be at the winner's own expense.
• If the winner fails to attend a confirmed booking without prior notice, the prize may be forfeited.
