This year's local hero
Do you know someone who has made a difference through the use of First Aid and deserves recognition?
The 2013 Surrey First Aid Save A Life Award competition has just been launched.
The Awards celebrate the achievements of heroes within the local community who have used lifesaving skills in the workplace, schools, at home and in the community in 2012/2013.
Surrey First Aid Training are looking for nominations for three different categories:
• Young First Aider of the year (17 years and under) - A young member of the local community who has made a difference in an emergency situation.
• First Aider at work - Somebody who has saved a life or helped in an emergency in the workplace.
• Surrey First Aider of the year- A hero in the community who has saved a life or made a difference by using first aid.
Selected finalists will be invited to a complimentary dinner at a top Surrey location on 16th November 2013. The evening will involve a champagne reception and live music from top Surrey Bands including the Guildford Flames.
Winners will be rewarded with a special Surrey First Aid Award and celebrated locally.
The competition is a fantastic way to raise awareness on how important it is that people in our community know first aid skills, and also make sure local heroes receive the praise they deserve.
