Banstead Rotary Club has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years for charity, without our members taking a penny for ourselves. We give back to the community, both local and international - and we'd love to have you along! We're preparing a variety of community service and fund-raising projects during 2015.
Rotary gives everything to charity and we have raised thousands of pounds over the years, with none of our members taking a penny for themselves. We are also careful to see that the money we raise goes to the people who need it. The money from our Christmas collections goes to local charities, and we also do fundraising for the third world throughout the year e.g. sending Shelter Boxes to places like the Philippines after disasters, so peoples’ lives will be changed for the better. If you want to give money to charity you can be sure if you do it via Rotary none of the money goes into members’ pockets and we pass every penny raised to local charities. We try to ensure that the money gets to people who really need it!
We meet every Tuesday 7:15pm, at the Cuddington Golf Club. The second Tuesday of each month is dedicated to committees, but we have a range of activities on other days, such as charity barn dances, race nights, business meetings, and guest speakers - both for charities and general interest.
Our upcoming speakers include Peter Thompson (March 17), Robert Bartlett (April 7) and Valerie Murphy (June 2). We've got a ton of charity events on the way, which you can find on our website or this calendar - some are listed below!
