Orchids Galore

The sights and sounds of India are the theme at this year’s orchid bonanza at Kew, and the vibrant colours of the subcontinent are the inspiration for giant floral displays, decorative rickshaws and life-size elephant and peacock figures. There are hands-on workshops and behind-the-scenes tours, tasty Indian cuisine in the cafes and you can pick up some tips from the experts on growing your own exotic varieties on Feb 21 with a one-day course (£70, or £60 for members).
