For this celebratory exhibition, the New Ashgate Gallery is delighted to partner with Making Space, the Havant based craft organisation that creates opportunities for people to enjoy and take part in high quality craft; expanding understanding of what craft is, does and can be. It's audiences discover and develop design and making skills, increasing personal wellbeing by working alongside professional makers.
Over the last ten years, Making Space has championed craft making, learning and participation by working with some of the most prominent as well as with some of the most exciting emerging craft talent in the UK.
This exhibition will bring these makers together in Farnham and will feature work by: Alex Archbold (kiln formed glass), Tracey Bush (artist books and paper cut assemblages),
Kathryn Green (textiles), Kate Reid (illustration), Rachel Reynolds (printed textiles and surface pattern design), Catharine Russell (ceramics), Peter Levy (ceramics), Sarah Macrae (designer jewellery), Sophie Main (jewellery), Sue Paraskeva (ceramics) and Lindsay Taylor (embroidered textiles).
